Trading hours

Every Stock Token trades around the clock on weekdays. A set of them trades on weekends and holidays too. The tag beside a ticker says which.

Every day, weekends and US market holidays included.

A Stock Token is quoted by its venue, Ondo Global Markets, and it can only be bought or sold while it is quoted. The normal week runs from Sunday 20:00 to Friday 20:00, New York time, with no break at night: that is 24/5. A set of names is quoted through the weekend and on US market holidays as well: that is 24/7.

Outside its schedule a name has no price, so there is nothing fair to buy or sell it at, and Follow waits.

The tag beside a ticker

On a portfolio's holdings, each ticker carries its schedule as a small tag, 24/5 or 24/7. The tag opens this page. It is the same for everyone and does not change with the time of day.

While a market is closed

When you follow a portfolio outside a name's schedule, Follow buys the names that are quoted and keeps the cash for the rest in your account, as USDT, until their market reopens; the holdings table shows what is waiting and the cash set aside for it. A sale works the same way: the names that are quoted sell now, the rest sell when they are quoted again, and the cash comes back once everything is sold.

Weekend quoting can be thinner than the week's: the venue sets smaller limits per name and prices can carry a wider spread. Your price limit applies exactly as it does during the week.

Holidays

On a US market holiday only the 24/7 names are quoted. Follow does not keep its own calendar of holidays: on such a day a 24/5 name simply has no quote, reads as waiting, and trades again when the venue quotes it.
